Who we are

WowAstro (“we”, “us”) operates the astrology platform at https://wowastro.com. On WowAstro you can generate a free kundali (a birth chart) and book a paid consultation with an astrologer.

For privacy requests, email privacy@wowastro.com. This inbox is how you ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion.

If you submit birth details for another adult, do that only if you are allowed to share their information with us, and show them this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information collected automatically when you use the site, and limited information from advertising partners such as Meta when you arrive from an ad.

How we use information

We use personal information for these purposes:

• Calculate and show a free kundali from the birth details you submit.
• Take a booking, confirm it, and deliver a paid consultation.
• Process payment, issue a receipt, and review a refund when one applies.
• Create and protect an account, if you make one. A password is stored only in hashed form.
• Send service messages, such as a booking confirmation or a kundali you asked us to send. Marketing messages are sent only where the law allows, and you can opt out.
• Keep the website secure, prevent misuse, and fix technical problems.
• Measure how the site and our ads perform, including ads on Facebook and Instagram.
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting duties, and respond to lawful requests.

We use birth details to prepare an astrology reading. We do not use them to diagnose a health condition or to give medical, legal, or financial advice.

Free kundali

A kundali needs your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. We use those details to calculate the chart and show it to you. If you ask us to send the result by email or SMS, we use the address or number you give us for that message.

If you save a kundali to an account, we keep it so you can open it again. If you do not create an account, we keep the request only for as long as we need to show the result, keep the service secure, and follow the retention periods below.

Paid consultations

When you book a consultation, we use your contact details to confirm the session and your birth details so the reading can be prepared. We share with the astrologer who takes your session the information they need to do that work: your name, the contact details for the session, your birth details, and the topic you asked about.

The astrologer may use that information only to provide your consultation. They may not use it for their own marketing.

A consultation is an astrology reading for personal reflection. It is not a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, or mental-health professional.

Payments

Paid bookings are charged by a payment provider. The provider’s name is shown at checkout before you pay. The provider collects the payment details it needs, such as card, UPI, net banking, or wallet details, under its own privacy policy.

We receive the result of the payment, the amount, and a reference we can use for support, receipts, and refunds. We do not store your full card number, UPI PIN, or wallet password on our servers.

Cookies, the Meta Pixel, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies on wowastro.com.

• Necessary cookies run the site, for example to keep you signed in or to hold a booking while you pay.
• Analytics cookies help us see which pages are used, so we can fix and improve the site.
• Advertising cookies and pixels measure our ads and help reach people who are more likely to want a kundali or a consultation.

We use Meta business tools, including the Meta Pixel, on our website and on pages linked from our ads. Third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet, and to use that information to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Meta’s other advertising services.

That information can include the pages you view, actions such as generating a kundali or starting a booking, your IP address, and a cookie or device identifier. If you reached us from a Meta ad, Meta may also tell us that the visit came from an ad. Where we send contact details to Meta for audience matching or measurement, we protect them in the way Meta requires, including hashing where that is how the tool works.

Where the law requires consent before advertising cookies are stored, we ask for that consent before those cookies or the Meta Pixel are used for advertising. Blocking cookies can stop some parts of the site from working. You can still ask us to delete information we already hold.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with the providers below so the service can run, and with Meta for advertising and measurement as described above. Some privacy laws treat that kind of advertising use as “sharing” for targeted ads. The opt-out links in the cookies section are how you limit that.

• Astrologers who deliver a consultation you booked, and only with the details they need for that session.
• Payment providers who take payment for a booking.
• Hosting, email, and SMS providers who store the site or deliver a message you asked for or a service message about a booking. They may use the information only to perform that work for us.
• Meta Platforms, when our advertising tools are active, as described in the cookies section.
• Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, when we need their help.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect users, the service, or our rights.
• A buyer of this business, if WowAstro is sold or reorganised. We will give notice if the law requires it before your information moves with the business.

Our providers may process information in India and in other countries where they operate. We require them to protect it and to use it only for the work we ask them to do.

How long we keep information, and how we protect it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then we delete it or anonymise it.

• Account details and kundalis saved to an account stay until you delete them or close the account. We then delete them within 30 days, except for records the law tells us to keep.
• Birth details sent for a one-off kundali, without an account, are kept only as long as needed to provide the result and protect the service, and for no longer than 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires a longer period.
• Consultation records are kept for up to 3 years after the session, or longer if a dispute is still open.
• Payment and tax records are kept for the period tax and accounting law requires.
• Technical logs and ad-measurement logs are kept for up to 24 months.

We protect information with HTTPS, limited staff access, and access controls on our systems. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure.

Your choices and how to request deletion

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it where the law gives you that right. You can also withdraw consent where we rely on consent, and you can opt out of marketing messages.

To request deletion, email privacy@wowastro.com with the subject line “Data deletion request”. For any other privacy request, use the subject line “Privacy request”. Include the email address or phone number you used on WowAstro so we can find the right record. We will respond within 30 days.

We may keep a limited record where the law requires it, for example a payment or tax record, or where we need it to establish or defend a legal claim. We delete or anonymise the rest.

You can opt out of marketing with the link in those messages, or by emailing us. Service messages about a booking you made are not marketing.

You can also contact the data protection authority where you live. Nothing in this policy limits that right.

Children

WowAstro is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Do not submit a child’s birth details or any other personal information about a child.

If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, email privacy@wowastro.com and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will also give a notice on the website, or by email where we have your email and the law requires it.
